Gather your tools and materials. You can make two rings without a knot or one ring with a knot. If you choose to make the knotted ring you will start at step 9.

Ritual-leather-ring-4 Pin-it%402x

Start by wrapping the leather around the finger you want the ring to be worn on and mark where the end of the cord meets to form a circle.

Cut the leather at that point.

Ritual-leather-ring-6 Pin-it%402x

Open your glue and put a little bit of glue on the end of the toothpick. Apply the glue in the center of the tube. Roll the toothpick around the tube so that the glue gets all over the inside surface.

Insert one end of the cut leather half way through the tube.

Ritual-leather-ring-8 Pin-it%402x

Apply a little more glue to the toothpick and add more to the center of the tube.

Ritual-leather-ring-9 Pin-it%402x

Form a circle with the leather and push the other end of the leather into the tube until it meets the first side. Set aside to dry for at least 24 hours before wearing.

You will have enough leather to make a second ring - repeat steps 2-7.

Ritual-leather-ring-11 Pin-it%402x

To make the knotted ring start in the middle of the leather cord and make a loop.

Ritual-leather-ring-12 Pin-it%402x

Make a second loop (kinda like a double barrel roller coaster). Then take the right end of the cord and go back over the loops and push the end through the loops.

Pull tight.

On the finger you would like the ring to be worn, wrap the leather around your finger and mark the center point where the leather meets.

Ritual-leather-ring-15 Pin-it%402x

Cut the leather on both sides at the point you determined in the previous step.

Ritual-leather-ring-16 Pin-it%402x

Add a liberal amount of glue in the tube using the toothpick. Push the ends into the tube, making sure the ends meet evenly in the center.

Set the ring aside to dry for at least 24 hours before wearing. Stack with simple bands and wear on your next adventure.

The cord isn't long enough to make two.

I tried this a few different ways without cutting the cord. I ended up doing the knot first as tightly as I possibly could. I creased that end and measured what I was left with. It was still too small for the other ring. Finally, I cut it because if I can only make one it should be the one I like the most no? I think another .5" would've been safer because it's still too small for my pinky.

Hi @reyeselena412 and @crsp000 the cord is long enough to make 2 rings without a knot or one ring with the knot. Check out the directions in the first step. If your cord was too short to make 2 plain rings (without a knot) let us know and we can send another one out to you!
